IN my life, I was an investigative reporter. I had many stories noticed worldwide; my last great public investigation uncovered the Deep Roots Plague, an attempt on the emperor's life. I was never married and traveled globally constantly. When D-Day came, there was nowhere to run. Next thing I know, a large gray man was helping me, and then my memory came back slowly.
In my death, I became the principal scout for the Resurrected Royal Armed Forces Second Legion. I had the privilege of being a part of the war up close and entered many living camps. After the war with Terra Dominata, I finally settled down, as did we all, and got volunteered to learn, collect, and document our history.
When advanced technology finally came back into the world, I had the "privilege" of working with the R&D head, Mr. Sunshine himself. Terrance is a true friend who has been good to me, but morally, I'm not allowed to tell him that.
If you think about it, not many people get a chance to know the king. I have been lucky to be one of the few. He is actually a real person and a real friend. The living would never believe that because they have only ever tried to re-kill us. Privileged to know the king. Privileged to know our history. Privileged to have fought in our war.
